Michael Kors is an American fashion designer famous for his womenswear collections for which he was given an CFDA award in 1999. Back in 1981 he launched his first womenswear, which ensured him the position of creative director and designer at fashion house Celine. Later he quit in order to focus on his own brand. In 2003 he received another CFDA award for Menswear Designer of the Year. Besides making clothing collections, the company is well known for its fragrances, made in partnership with Estée Lauder as well. The first perfume was launched in 2001 and over the years was followed by series of successful fragrances.
